Watching// Last Man Standing on Netflix. Oh, do I love me some Tim Allen-as-patriarch roles! Albeit, we're 5 years late to the bandwagon, but we are just starting the second season (why did they replace Kristin? Anyone know?!) and enjoying every episode!
Reading// It's been a productive month for reading! I finished Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay, Sparkly Green Earrings: Catching the Light at Every Turn by Melanie Shankle and The Girl You Left Behind: A Novel by JoJo Moyes (I just can't seem to get away from German War novels.) I loved all of them and look forward to reading more! The good thing about finding new authors is catching up on their body of work!
Dreaming of// This summer! It'll be a good one, folks!
Eating// Protein, protein, vegetables, protein. In the final stretch of calorie counting.
Wishing// I had more hours in the day to accomplish everything on my to-do list.
Loving// Time visiting family. My uncle (the father of the cousin whose wife is having their first baby) and Brian's cousin (Claudia's sister) visited on the same week, so it was full of fun and good company.
Obsessed with//
Planning// Brian's Father's Day gift. I'm notorious for getting him kinda sad gifts (being down to one car and sharing a bank account leaves room for little surprises, am I right?) but if I plan early enough I can make the system work for me.
Pinning// Alcoholic beverages in preparation for summer!

Texting// Everyone. Or so it seems. What did we ever do before texting? Eeew to actually calling someone ;)
Wearing// My favorite mustard cardigan.

  1. I am reading Me Before You right now and holy cow I can't put it down. My kids are really cramping my reading style since I just want to curl up and read right now. Ha ha! Love that mustard cardigan so much!

  3. I’ve never seen Last Man Standing, but heard it’s pretty great! I’m so jealous that you get to read. I’m dreaming all things summer as well sweet lady! It’s so close…so close! Yay for family time and texting. Seriously, what did we do before texting? I despise talking on the phone (sad, I know), and prefer to text. Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!

  4. Two of the books that I wanted to read are both checked out at our local library. I keep forgetting to put a hold on them!

Thanks for the inspiration for this fellow mustard cardigan owner. ;)

  5. Protein, UGH. It is so hard for me to eat protein. I often find myself choking down my eggwhites, bleck. This summer IS going to be so much fun!

  6. Oh I didn't realize me before you was a book...that movie looks so cute, I'll have to pick up the book. I've never watched Last Man Standing either, maybe we'll start watching that this summer...we need some summer shows.

  7. Hahaha! Eww to actually calling someone! I am SO with you on that one! If I can't text you, I basically don't want to talk to you. Sad but true.
YAY for fun drinks for summer!!!
LOVE that mustard cardigan! Keep wearing it, girl!

  8. I am reading Luckiest Girl Alive right now and I am enjoying it. I am trying to figure out Father's Day gifts as well. I always hint at things I want all year long, so Rory has it easy. He doesn't do that for me.

  9. So true about the shared bank account making for sad presents. Plus Joe is on your protein and veggie diet, so treats are out. I'm a little stumped...

  10. I've read 2 out of 3 of the books listed. Is Lizze and Jane any good?

  11. So you must tell me, what are you obsessed with??? And I have a hard time surprising Chris too! This year he asked for a razor, that he picked out and I even signed into his Amazon account since he had a gift card balance lol!!!

  12. I read Lizzy and Jane recently too - while not my favorite, I really am a sucker for any kind of Jane Austen-related chick lit :) I also loved Eligible, the modern retelling of Pride & Prejudice, this month. And that cracked me up about texting - pretty sure my 2.5-year-old doesn't even know what "telephoning" would be since he's never seen me do it, ha!

  13. I grew up with the show "Home Improvement" and I've always had a soft spot for shows with Tim Allen playing a dad...probably because the character that he plays always seems so very much like my own dad, haha! Family visits are fun!
