This Year of Color is all about purple. And I'll be honest, I had no idea how to interpret this royal color. But seeing as it's summer that means time spent out of doors for us and coupled with with the fact that I'm all about "easy" (summer pregnancies have me like whoa) mixing up some chalk paint it was (thanks Desiree for the idea!)
All you need is equal parts cornstarch and water and food coloring. We used 1/2 cups of each and the following ratio of red to blue food coloring:
Drops red/blue
1. 10/18
2. 31/24
3. 21/5
4. 19/8
5. 25/10
6. 7/7
Brielana and Kinsey lasted for about 30 minutes (so the time it took me to take pictures and edit them) until disaster struck:
Now it's your turn! Add your link below. Thank you for joining Desiree, Justine, Stefanie and me for A Year of Color!
I love how you interpreted purple!! I have this chalk paint on my list of things to do this summer. So fun!
ReplyDeleteBaha ha! Silly girls. Kinsey has the prettiest eyes, eva!!!
ReplyDeleteThe chalk paint sounds fun! I think Mason would love that. Adorable pictures, friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun activity! Love it! I need to do that soon!
ReplyDeleteFun! We did chalk paint this week too! It was so hot that we didn't last long but it's so easy we'll have to try it again!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! I'm so glad this turned out well for you (except the very end - bahahaha!!)!
ReplyDeleteThe number of drops of food coloring literally had me laughing. When Marcus has free reign of the food coloring so. many. drops. are used. Meanwhile, I'm like, how about TWO or THREE? HA!!
Also, adoring the purple outfits on those sweet ladies.
