Eating//
Ever since the WHO released their statement about bacon, red meat and sausage, we have pretty much cut that all out of our diet. We have been eating chicken, fish and some really great meatless brands, Gardein and Quorn being our favorite picks. This isn't my first time opting to not eat meat, I've done vegan and vegetarian diets before and have no qualms substituting meatless meat for the real deal. So, here's to eating healthy!
Quorn gruyere chicken with sauteed zucchini and pasta
Gardein meatless meatball sammy with pesto and marinara and provolone.
Homemade pumpkin soup
Reading//
It's been a slow-go of reading this month but, life. I will say I have savored Francis Mayes Every Day in Tuscany and can't wait to make some of the wonderful recipes included in this book. And I read through Sue Grafton's X wayyyy too fast and was sad to see it end. I'll probably reread it soon.
Watching//
Supergirl. Because our super hero fascination would'nt be complete without it in rotation. Being a huge fan of Smallville I'm keeping everything triple-crossed that Tom Welling will reprise his role as Superman in this series. Besides that, I'm not really impressed but I do like Jenna Dewan Tatum's Lucy Lane.
Wearing//
Knits and kicks. Sorry, my love for alliteration go the best of me.
Also, I got my hair cut and l-o-v-e it!
This week//
Thanksgiving tomorrow! How did that happen? Here's to being thankful for every blessing bestowed upon us throughout the year and not just on this day. Amen? Amen! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Next month//
Bring on Christmas!!! I was torn on whether or not to wrap up 25 books for a book countdown, but then I realized I may never have this opportunity again and so I better take advantage while I still can! And I may have been inspired by Courtney. Surprisingly, I own exactly 25 Christmas books and hoard tissue paper so 30 minutes later I ended up with this:
Now, where to stash them...
Your hair looks so great! I hope you and your family have a very wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your hair!!
ReplyDeleteWe do a Christmas book advent calendar of sorts. Our Elf on the Shelf brings a different book each night for us to read. Last year the books weren't individually wrapped, but I think that needs to happen this year.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
