The Man Behind the Beard // April

The Men Behind the Blog

I flaked last month but we're back for another round of The Man Behind the Beard! Did I not mention it was Brian's week?! ;)

1) In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?
Brian: Huuuh, wrestling. Cartoons and wrestling.

2) What does family mean to you?
Brian: Being comfortable. Taking care of my children, providing for them.

3) How would your family or closest friends describe you?
Brian: I don't even know! *laugh* Sarcastic potty mouth, joke-ster, talkative, funny. I guess joke-ster, mostly.

4) What’s your fondest childhood memory?
Brian: Playing the "interception game" with my grandpa and going on car trips with my grandparents.
Me: what's the "interception game"?
Brian: It was a football type game where my grandpa would throw the football and me and Aaron (brother) would try to get it.

5) What words of wisdom would you pass on to your childhood self?
Brian: Um, pay attention in school.

Also check out Beth's post today where I'm sharing my favorite Scripture along side some of my favorite ladies! I've definitely been clinging to it more urgently since last week's emergency.

  1. I love how he described family. So sweet. The interception game sounds like something cam was playing with my dad while he was visiting. Ha ha!

  2. I love that was his fondest memory. Makes you realize we should take time and just play with our kids more... It's what they will remember!

  4. I'd go back and tell myself #5 too. Or just to take a wider variety of classes in college. Interesting favorite childhood memories, it's always the littlest things that stick out the most.
