Blogging//
I have stayed true to my blogging habits and have hit 514 page likes on Facebook! Blogging has opened up so many things for me, a creative outlet, great relationships and learning new things, but it is also time consuming and I've been feeling like I'm falling behind in reading and keeping up with everything. So forgive me if I have not read/commented on your blog recently. Finding balance here and it takes some readjusting.

Implement a toy rotation/storage system- I'll give this one half because I got a big bin to store toys in, we just don't have a set rotation schedule. Kinsey will ask for a new toy and when she does, we put back older ones. But it works for us so I'm content.
Family//
Start a "no phone zone" designation (saw this on Leah's blog and totally loved it) and be firm
Once a month Date Night with Brian- and another half, we have been making time to watch some favorite shows at the end of the day which has been great but no actual dates have been had. I feel though that the intentional hang out time has been great so we can work up to date night and not feel deprived.

And then it turned into summer and my planning nosedived. We're still doing fun and educational things together but its definitely at a slower pace and we're both okay with that arrangement! After all, this is the last summer we have together before Kinsey goes to school, tear.
And now for July/August/September goals:

Make some tweaks/ updates to my site

What do you mean by balancing online/real life? Like not letting your blog control your real life?
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the goals friend. I say you did really awesome.
I'm with ya on trying to find a balance. I feel like I spend a lot of time working on the blog and reading/commenting... Not sure what to do about it.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same...like so much so I don't read any actual books any more!
DeleteGreat job with all those goals you accomplished! Good luck with your new goals. Hoping you guys get a date night in. It took Joe and I forever, but then we were like "why did we wait so long???"
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to find a balance. I just don't stress myself about it, and do it when I can! :) family always comes first!
ReplyDelete"green, leafy children" HAHAHA!! That's the best analogy I've ever read when it comes to a garden.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on finding a good balance. I feel like I'm constantly playing catch-up in the read, comment, reply department! If anyone shoots you some great ideas I'd love to hear them!
Yes I was just starting to think my routine will be different this fall too. Noah will be going to school 3 mornings instead of 2 so I will be switching up my cleaning days and stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals, so what did you do to earn your FB followers? I can't believe Baby Fox will be starting kinder in August...what?! I have a kid in actual school now?
