Happy Friday the 13th! Any horror fans out there? I can't watch any scary movies or I'll get straight up nightmares. Here's my random five for this week!
On the Blog//
Link up Reminder//
Rewind Friday officially starts in 2 weeks! {Friday, May 27th} Get some new love on older posts and link up with Beth, Meghan, Stephanie and me the last Friday of every month!
Potty Not-training//
Brielana decided one day to go pee on her training potty. Who am I to stand in the way of progress? I'm not actively potty training (the thought alone kinda makes me shudder) but if she enjoys doing it with no pressure than she can pee her heart (bladder?) out. And yes, I am that mom who photographs every milestone. Just look at that face!
Baby News//
Remember my cousin's wedding in May of last year? Well, he and his darling wife are going to have a baby!!! The old adage "First comes love, than come marriage, than comes the baby in the baby carriage" is true after all ;) More details to follow but I will say this baby has been prayed for for forever.
Spring Fun with Gilroy Gardens//
This is the closest theme park near us and because they cater to young children we absolutely adore Gilroy Gardens: home of the Circus Trees! We've been going since Brielana was a newborn (read barely a month old) and last November when she got to experience her very first ride on a firetruck!
Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is California's only horticulture-themed amusement park. Ideal for families and garden lovers, Gilroy Gardens features over 40 rides, attractions and majestic gardens and the world famous Circus Trees. It is a place "where fun grows on trees!" You can ride thrilling coasters and delightful carousels, visit the monarch butterfly garden, paddleboat on Coyote Lake and even take a simulated ride in a hot-air balloon.
And a bonus! My readers receive this special offer: Everyone pays kid's price to Gilroy Gardens for unlimited visits. Click here for more information. Thanks to US Family Guide and Gilroy Gardens, we'll get the chance to visit again!
Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay for peeing in the potty! That's exciting. Love the photo of the girls in the first truck. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that she's going on the potty without you asking!! yay!!! And congrats on the new baby coming soon to your family!
ReplyDeleteYay for using the potty without having to train her!!! And I'm with you on the scary movies... Just can't do them!
ReplyDeleteGilroy Gardens sounds fun! Aria used her potty on the occasion for months before she decided to wear big girl panties, so I'm glad she never had potty chair fear or anything or refused to poop on a potty that you hear happens. Slow and steady!
ReplyDeleteI love the excitement of a new baby. It bring with it so much hope and love.
ReplyDeleteYou posted on a Friday?! How could you not photograph THAT face :D! Have a great Friday friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun amusement park! I can't wait to take my boys to our nearby Adventureland this summer! Yay for a slight potty progress! We're going into full on training mode with Wes once summer starts... He has to be trained before preschool in the fall.
ReplyDeleteYay for a pee in the potty! LOL, I documented Mila's first as well. Maybe Brielana will be a relatively easy one. Mila chose to pee on the potty on her own and, while the potty training process wasn't a piece of cake, it wasn't nearly as much of a struggle as I've heard from other parents. ut these kids need to stay kids a little longer! I love the milestones, but not too soon!! I remember you posting about Gilroy Gardens before - sounds like such a fun place! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHa, I will probably photograph all the milestones just like this one. Yay for her going without any training!!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou just wait until my post next week (or the week after?). You might be seeing a lot of Mason's tush in some cute underwear lol. I can't help but photograph the milestones either! And hey, if she wants to potty train herself, more power to her! Then she can come over and help Mason :) lol
ReplyDeleteWHOOP WHOOP for not really potting training! I firmly believe that's the best way to do it - when the kiddos are really ready and interested!
ReplyDeleteGilroy Gardens looks so cool! I wish we had something like that closer to us. It seems a lot less daunting (and less work) than places like Disney.
Aww, Brielana looks so proud. What a cutie!! Yay for new babies to love. What a blessing and answered prayer! Gilroy Gardens looks like a ton of fun. How cute are they on the old timey firetruck!
