Want to overhaul your toxic products? Start HERE!

Its 2023 and the consciousness of harmful ingredients in the products we use is old news, right? Are you fed up with yucky cleaners that can potentially harm your health? Disgusted by big brands trying to greenwash themselves into your good graces? Me too.

Infused vinegar DIY cleaner

I've been really getting into spring cleaning lately. It's probably a combo of nesting + feeling invigorated by all the sunshine (vitamin D is truly a marvel).

5 ways I'm prioritizing my health right now

Quarantine weight gain has made itself known at my house. I have noticed my jeans feeling a bit snug. Not shut-in related but a contributing factor of said weight gain is also the horribly hot weather- we haven't been doing regular neighborhood walks and it just seems everything is adding together to put me in a mood. Instead of feeling sorry for myself (anymore lol) I decided to take action. Here's what's been helping me ditch the blues and feel empowered instead of complacent.

DIY Soothing facial toner

Ugh, guys. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I've been over the last month. Due to the antibiotics and steroid shot from my bout of pneumonia running amok in my system, my skin has been suffering. Like, teenage-pizza-face-suffering. I won't even go into my GI issues but I read one round of antibiotics can impact the gut biome for over a year. I was on three different antibiotics. Let that sink in while I have a good cry. Affiliate links used. A small commission may be received if you purchase an item through my links with no extra cost to you. My favorite natural cleaner {DIY}

When I "downsized" my cleaning products in favor of all natural and to reduce our exposure to toxic ingredients I ended up with a very pared down arsenal of supplies. Thankfully these basic pantry staples pull double duty by making cleaning easy and super affordable. As soon as I was well enough I cleaned everything with this simple mixture and rested well knowing the germs were eradicated and that my family wasn't subjected to harmful fumes and chemicals. Affiliate links used. Getting clean with Dr Jacobs Naturals

I have been making my health a priority this year and that has extended to my beauty products. Avoiding questionable ingredients and fragrances has made shopping a little more mindful but I feel good about the things getting slathered onto my body and hair. Thank you to Dr Jacobs Naturals for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Switching to safer beauty products {Natural Deodorants}

Breast cancer scares me. As the granddaughter of a breast cancer survivor I think I'm justified. I also tend to be paranoid (another “thanks” to aforementioned gramma, ha) so it shouldn't be that surprising that I have been researching natural deodorants for a year now.  A small commission may be received if you purchase an item through my links.
