This is a week overdue but it's been busy over here celebrating (and there may be still some denial) about this first 365 days with our Clarkie. This past year has gone by so incredibly fast; he has grown and changed and has become his own person apart from the tiny being that began forming within my own body. To say I am overcome by emotions is an understatement. To say I am blessed is an understatement.
Weight: 23 pounds, 75th %
Height: 30.5 inches, 74th %
Just look at him grow! I wasn't even about to try and guess his measurements and clearly I would have been so off. This guy is still above the curve.
We went to our first pediatric visit since moving and it had me missing our doctor back in California. This place had nothing on her. Alas, we will keep searching for a doctor to care for our littles. Big shoes are being filled but I'm optimistic.
Clark is a full blown walker and is trying his hand (legs) at running. There's still some knee movements that need to be worked out but he is enjoying his new mobility. The kid is fast.
A new obsession with throw pillows has emerged; its the cutest thing to see him throw one on the floor, flop on top of it and get cozy.
It's also time to upgrade to a forward-facing car seat (no more infant carrier) though there goes my arms workouts ;)
"Hi" is the new vocabulary word this month and it is basically the cutest thing ever. He will also hold up the TV remote and a toy car and say "hi" into like he's talking on a cell phone. The kid's a genius, what can I say?
Cheers to our first full rotation around the sun! It has been nothing short of amazing. Every day with this guy is full of love and snuggles.
He is such a sweetie!
