When I "downsized" my cleaning products in favor of all natural and to reduce our exposure to toxic ingredients I ended up with a very pared down arsenal of supplies. Thankfully these basic pantry staples pull double duty by making cleaning easy and super affordable. As soon as I was well enough I cleaned everything with this simple mixture and rested well knowing the germs were eradicated and that my family wasn't subjected to harmful fumes and chemicals. 1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 teaspoon liquid soap
3/4 cup warm water
Combine everything in a glass spray bottle. Shake to combine. Spray the area generously (3-4 spritz per foot) and wipe with a clean cloth. Indefinite shelf life. Just shake to recombine before each use!
Four basic ingredients for less toxic cleaning:
Baking soda [neutralizes acid odors]
Liquid castille soap, like Dr Bronner's
Distilled white vinegar [neutralizes alkaline odors]
Antiseptic Essential Oils [lemon, tea tree, sweet orange, clove, lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, just to name a few]
