I'm going to make some big proclamations right now; this box was a serious contender for a 5 out of 5. If it wasn't for some strange seams and me being cheap I could have kept it all. My next big announcement- I think I've found my Stylist, hi Madison!!!
I had a few requests for this Fix. Since it's been unseasonably cold for our area I wanted warm layering pieces, knits and textures, a rain coat (since I don't own one) and a pair of skinny jeans; Madison delivered on all counts minus a pair of TOMS that I asked for (I'm assuming canvas flats don't sell so well in Winter, who knew ;) So let's get on to the box that could have been a 5:
Page VI Tellie Textured Knit Sweatshirt | $48 {small}
Liverpool Elizabeth Super Skinny Jean | $78 {size 6}
The very first item I pulled out of the box was this sweatshirt. I don't think anyone has been so excited to see a sweatshirt before than I was when I saw this. That is not even an exaggeration. I love the light gray with black peppering, the distressed hem was a fun touch and the seaming across the chest and arms was a great detail of interest. And then I tried it on and saw the flaw. The front seam is completely wonky. Like it didn't lay remotely flat whatsoever and did a strange pucker/ripple effect across my chest. You can't tell because my hair is covering it so I did the close-up below. I was crushed. Returned
I was hesitant when I first saw these skinny jeans- and just for the record I would call these jeggings because they are mostly stretch and have no zipper fly and button. I tried them on and they didn't seem particularly special and the legs weren't as tight as I would have liked them. But in the interest of expedited picture-taking I kept them on throughout this whole box and at the end, I didn't want to take them off! Ha! They are super soft and stretchy and I have now worn them three times since last week. Kept
RD Style Sorlle Rain Jacket | $88 {small}
If there is a cuter rain jacket, I have yet to find it. I love the simple black and white buffalo plaid and it would seriously go with everything. But did you see that price?! Never in my life would I pay that much for a flimsy rain coat. It's not you Sorelle, it's me. Returned
Skies are Blue Caspian Scallop Trim Cardigan | $68 {small}
I had written a note right after my first Fix about wanting to add more burgundy pieces into my closet but had since updated that note and was still nicely surprised to find this gorgeous cranberry cardigan. Unfortunately I had just gotten myself the tribal cardigan from PinkBlush and had no need for this stunner. The pockets and crochet hem are so sweet. ReturnedRD Style Jessika Cowl Neck Poncho | $68 {small}
I wanted this poncho in a bad way. It was so soft and cozy! It had great draping (not the best picture angle to tell) and the gray was a deep charcoal almost black. I wasn't super fond of the neck which translated more as a turtleneck than a cowl which I totally could have overlooked and then I opened my big mouth and asked for Brian and Kinsey's opinion. Big mistake. Kinsey said it looked weird and Brian said I looked like a nerd. Plus, it was on the $$$ side. So, after mourning over it for a minute I let it go. I'm not too upset actually so I guess it was the right decision. Returned
So even though I only kept one item I feel that Madison totally got my look and sent me items that were exactly me. I appreciate that and will be asking for Madison again!!! And since you stuck it out this long, you're in for a treat!

Seriously, what a box! So many great pieces. You look adorable in everything, friend!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the sweatshirt! And the raincoat is so cute, too bad it was too pricey. That's why I haven't yet done Stitch Fix - the prices!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute stuff friend. But yeah I am with you on the prices. For that reason alone I will never try Stitch Fix. This was an AMAZING box though. SO much really cute stuff.
ReplyDeleteI would have kept the RD Style Jessika Cowl Neck Poncho. I love love ponchos.
ReplyDeleteMan that last sweater, is so darn cute! That would have been hard to send back! And those pants, perfect on you.
ReplyDeleteThat raincoat is adorable, but you're right, that's a lot of money for a rain coat!! You look great in everything--seriously! I love the poncho and no way does it make you look like a nerd!! Bummer about the flaw on that sweatshirt (it's so cute!), but yay for keeping a pair of jeans! SF jeans are THE BEST and I think I may be wearing the same pair as I type!
ReplyDeleteOh, man -- what a great box!! I hate that it was a bit of a miss. Those jeans DO look fabulous on you and that sweatshirt could have been so great.
ReplyDeleteThat sweatshirt was awesome!!! Such a bummer about the stitching. :( The jeans are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis was such a great fix! I truly loved every piece on you!
ReplyDeleteBut, damn, the sticker shock (looking at you, rain coat)...
You look cute in anything you put on, friend! You're just adorable. I love all of the pieces in this box! I am just like you when it comes to the $$. I couldn't fathom spending that much on a raincoat! There has to be a perfectly priced dupe out there somewhere. :)
ReplyDeleteI second what Crystal said, it all looks great on you!! I feel ya on the prices though. As much as I love that rain coat, I feel like I'd spend all that money and then it wouldn't rain again for a year. California weather is sneaky like that.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOO! That poncho! You should have texted me because I would have told you to KEEP KEEP KEEP it! Gosh that thing is cute! I think I should pin it and ask for it myself LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable in everything! I love that first top, but it does look a bit short and that seam would probably bother me too. Love the skinny jeans! That rain jacket is adorable, but that is a bit high for something you probably wouldn't wear much. And I'm totally digging that poncho!
ReplyDeleteHaha those are the same jeans I have from stitch fix! And I felt the same way. Wasn't impressed at first but didn't want to take them off by the end. And I've now had them for a few months and I wear them all the time... today in fact!
ReplyDeleteI think those are the same jeans I kept! Great fix!
ReplyDeleteA lot of really cute pieces! I like that burgundy sweater. And I'm now thinking about asking for those jeans/jeggings too :D
ReplyDeleteGoodness everything looks great on you, but that rain jacket is my favorite!
