Easter things // Pastels {A Year of Color #4}

I may very well be the very last blogger to share about Easter but I couldn't think of a better representation of pastels! So it'll be short and sweet.

We dyed eggs on Saturday. Somebunny (I'm not saying any names but we all know which little lady it was haha) spilled the green dye and wouldn't you know, PAZ dye is washable! All the praise hands.

Bless Target for always coming through for basket fillers. Everything minus the girls books, Pjs and jellies were from the Motherstore.

It rained on Sunday so that was only a little depressing. I didn't get to wear my planned outfit (a floral maxi) but the girls sure did look adorable. Dresses were sent from Great Grandma Mary from Arkansas.

And I got my Family picture! I couldn't rain on our parade ;)

Celebrating Easter {Spring Fun}

We had a fun and full Easter weekend (sorry about the 3-days late recap but I just can't organize my photos that fast after a holiday- major props to those of you who do!) with lots of seasonal celebrating from dyeing eggs to making and decorating sugar cookies to having a couple of egg hunts. Praise the Lord the tomb is empty!

Egg Dyeing//

PAAS makes the neatest kits, we got a Gold and Glimmer one for $2 at Target and Kinsey had a blast painting on the shimmer paint. I think next year I'll try the all natural route though because when it came time to peeling the eyes, the paint was all tacky and slimey (yuck.)

Egg Hunt//

Our only non-family Egg hunt was at our local mall and it was so well done! We got a map for 6 stores in similar areas that we could visit, get eggs and have our stop checked off the list. Once one was completed, we went back for another map and did it all over again! We had a little over an hour to do 3 maps but we only did two. We got so many goodies though (and a work out haha) that Kinsey wasn't even disappointed. My favorite score of the day (besides the See's chocolates I picked up) was these two coupons for free kid's meals at CPK.

Easter//

Easter morning arrived and with it the finding of the Easter baskets. This was the first time I've hidden them since the St Patrick's Day scavenger hunt was such a hit. We used Courtney's printable (she is freaking fantastic!!!) and just might have to make it a yearly tradition. We celebrated Easter at my In Laws and it was so nice and laid back. This was Brielana's second Easter but first proper egg hunt and she was running around grabbing up eggs like a pro. I guess that's how it is when your big sister is an egg finding champion. And I insisted on a family picture but didn't get any using my phone and I fear they may never make their way to me, oops.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! For nostalgia sake here is Easter 2015 and Easter 2014.

Easter Baskets 2016

Welcome to the 2016 Easter Basket link up! I have been impatiently waiting for this day for over a month! I adore everything Easter; Jesus' resurrection, the flowers, the colors and the festivities. Throw in a gift basket and I'm all kinds of happy! This will be Brielana's second Easter and now that she's older she can participate more and really get into the holiday spirit (says I, who included some food in her basket just to spike her interest ;) 

I veered from using traditional baskets because the items I picked for the girls were oddly shaped. Instead I used Amazon boxes that I had cut  and wrapped over with white paper. I love how they turned out! I also got to do some crafting by making personalized tags. I didn't do it yet but that round chipboard tag will have a 'B' on it come Easter (I always forget something, sigh.)

I scored at The Dollar Spot this year and was able to purchase the majority of the girl's goodies there. Target has been killing it! Speaking of new clothes, I recently tried the new C9 bra from Target thanks to Influenster. I'm not one to post about my workout endeavors but I will divulge that I think this sports bra is amazing; it is comfortable, supportive and keeps everything where it is supposed to be. TP roll Easter Bunny stamping:

I have been seriously slacking in the Easter crafts department, but this month is so jammedpacked with activities that it's completely throwing me off my game, anyone else?! I saw this adorable activity on Pinterest and had to try it! (We all know about my TP roll hoarding problem.) It turned out darling and the girls had a blast. Of course I really had to watch Brielana because she started eating the paint #truestory and that put a damper on my crafting.
