Freshly Picked Moccasins for our Dapper Little Dude {Baby #3} + Giveaway

My love for Freshly Picked moccasins is no secret around here (or here or here!) and when I became pregnant I knew I had to have a pair of itty bitty moccs for the new babe. When baby became Baby Brother I really got into finding the perfect pair for him! In the last few months Freshly Picked has introduced two new styles of moccasins, the City Moccs without fringe around the ankles and the Penny Loafer no fringe and a cute "penny holder" detail that are pure perfection for the dapper little dudes in your life!

I am so smitten with the Penny Loafer style, the classic look in quality leather sized just for new baby feet, that it makes my heart positively melt.

I have a set aesthetic when it comes to our son's wardrobe (give me all the gray neutrals, black and whites/creams, stripes and a few pops of bright poppy) and these slate penny loafer moccs will go with everything!

So now we just wait until our baby boy makes his appearance and when he does (three weeks and counting!) he will be our last babe to make his first shoes Freshly Picked moccasins.

Baby Boy Buys // Baby #3

I have been slowly filling up Baby Brother's dresser with all the tiny things and I just had to share some of my favorite buys. I'm not one to spend a lot of money haphazardly but when quality and craftsmanship (and good customer service!) collide plus throw in a good sale, I can't pass up those deals!

L'oved Baby

This organic baby clothes and gear company was started by a mom whose own mother was diagnosed with breast cancer around the time she was pregnant with her first child. After researching the benefits of breastfeeding Sharon made a commitment to nurse and made her first nursing cover, which evolved into L'oved Baby. The apostrophe is so clever as "Oved" is Sharon's last name (I'm a huge sucker for special little details like that!) I love this company's baby clothes and have had so much fun waiting for their Big-Find Thursday sale each week where a certain color or item of baby clothes is featured and you're sent 3-4 pieces for only $40!

Modern Burlap

Full confession- I never really got the hang of swaddling my babies. Brian is a pro and Kinsey was swaddled up for the first two months of her life. But come Brielana, she hated feeling confined and all the swaddle blankets seemed unnecessary after that. Well, in an attempt to get some longer stretches of sleep, I'm going to try my hand at swaddling again and when I came across Modern Burlap's beautiful designs, it definitely solidified my want for swaddlers. I didn't realize how much the black and white patterns really resonated with me but when my eyes fell upon this Jeremiah 29:11 verse swaddle, I wanted to cry and immediately purchased it (it's on sale still!) because this verse is my touchstone and it was meant to be. Plus, if the whole swaddling thing doesn't happen to work out, I can always use this as a wall hanging!!

June & January

I've become a tad bit obsessed lately because I've absolutely have fallen in love with their color "poppy" (a reddish orange color) and just can't get enough! J&J specializes in basic children's pieces, think solid, striped and dotted prints that can be mixed and matched to create several different looks with just a few pieces. Right now I'm anxiously awaiting their new Baby release so I can complete little misters coming-home outfit!

Baby Gear for Baby Boy

Baby gear. It is an entity all its own. I made do with the same products since Kinsey's birth when we had Brielana but now I'm thinking it is time to upgrade a few things with the arrival of Baby Boy! I swear the market just keeps growing and so many amazing products are out there! Here are a few of the new products I had to try out with Baby #3:

DocATot

I have high hopes for this baby sleep product. I have heard rave reviews and am hoping this will help me to have a baby that sleeps through the night. Not only is made from all natural, 100% breathable cotton, but it can be used as a safe co-sleeper or be used in the crib or inside a bassinette!

These durable cards are a great way to document all those wonderful baby milestones through the first year! The graphics are darling and there are blank spaces so you can personalize with dates.

The Ollie Swaddle

Kinsey was swaddled for a couple of months before refusing, Brielana absolutely revolted against swaddling. Is this the tie-breaker baby? If you read the above snippet about the DocATot, I am d-y-i-n-g to have a good sleeper, so this sweet swaddle in my bag of tricks will come in handy. The Ollie Swaddle is also know as the Smarter Swaddle™ so I feel like my babe is in capable hands, er fabric ;) Made from custom moisture-wicking material to reduce the risk of overheating it also allows for easy diaper changes by using the opening at the bottom of the swaddle.

Binxy Baby

I get a huge tickle every time I see a picture of a baby reclining in this hammock inside a shopping cart, seriously ADORABLE. This cart sling supports babies up to 50 pounds in weight, and/or until 6-8 months of age (before they can sit up on their own) and makes for easier shopping (since I'll be toting around THREE babies and we know Brielana already has dibs in the front cart seat and Kinsey likes standing at the end of the cart) am all about that simple life ;)

Finn + Emma

Organic plays a big part in our lives (hello, Whole Foods Market employed Husband) so organic baby clothes is a big deal. These pieces are so soft and cuddly I can't wait to cuddle little Mister while he's wearing them :) Finn + Emma only uses G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton and non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes (the colors are to die for!) and can accommodate disposable and cloth-diapered baby bums.

Our hearts {and feet} belong to Freshly Picked + Giveaway

Brielana is one lucky girl. This is her third pair of Freshly Picked moccasins in the span of a year (her first two can be found here and here) and though that is modest by some FP-addicts standards (because I've seen some awesome mocc stash pictures, believe you me!) she (we) love them with all our hearts.  Affiliate links used. Brielana wears her Freshly Picked moccs almost every day. Not only are they super soft and comfortable but they are also durable and stay on little feet! Which is half the battle of dressing toddlers, am I right? 

Our personal reason for loving Freshly Picked so much is because they allow Brielana the freedom of movement without hindering her balance as hardsole shoes tend to do. And Brielana doesn't need any more restrictions to her balance as she has enough as is. You see, Brielana was born with a dwarfism of her left toes rendering them smaller than her right. And though this doesn't make her handicap or unable to do fun things like run and jump, it does make for some challenges. I don't know if we will need to look into specialty sized shoes as she gets older, but for now we are beyond happy with our Freshly Picked moccasins giving her the gift of lightweight, comfortable shoes.

We tend to gravitate towards the neutral colors as they go with everything (isn't this bubble darling?!) At the moment I'm undecided as to which pair to get next- Zion or Weathered Brown, any advice? But seriously, you just can't go wrong with any pair you choose as the quality and craftsmanship are above and beyond.
