Watching// Last Man Standing on Netflix. Oh, do I love me some Tim Allen-as-patriarch roles! Albeit, we're 5 years late to the bandwagon, but we are just starting the second season (why did they replace Kristin? Anyone know?!) and enjoying every episode!
Reading// It's been a productive month for reading! I finished Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay, Sparkly Green Earrings: Catching the Light at Every Turn by Melanie Shankle and The Girl You Left Behind: A Novel by JoJo Moyes (I just can't seem to get away from German War novels.) I loved all of them and look forward to reading more! The good thing about finding new authors is catching up on their body of work!
Dreaming of// This summer! It'll be a good one, folks!
Eating// Protein, protein, vegetables, protein. In the final stretch of calorie counting.
Wishing// I had more hours in the day to accomplish everything on my to-do list.
Loving// Time visiting family. My uncle (the father of the cousin whose wife is having their first baby) and Brian's cousin (Claudia's sister) visited on the same week, so it was full of fun and good company.
Obsessed with//
Planning// Brian's Father's Day gift. I'm notorious for getting him kinda sad gifts (being down to one car and sharing a bank account leaves room for little surprises, am I right?) but if I plan early enough I can make the system work for me.
Pinning// Alcoholic beverages in preparation for summer!

Texting// Everyone. Or so it seems. What did we ever do before texting? Eeew to actually calling someone ;)
Wearing// My favorite mustard cardigan.

What Kinsey Wore // fittedtot {a review}

fittedtot review. A childrens subscription box sizes 6 months-5T that helps keep your closet stocked as your child grows like a weed. Five full outfits are sent to your door including a pajama and you can wear them as little or as much as you want before sending them back for another box!
Do you ever hear about something and a light bulb goes off in your head and you have a "I wish I had thought about that" moment? Well, that happened to me recently when I found out about fittedtot. Affiliate links used. A small commission may be received if you purchase an item through my links. Thank you for supporting my blog!
fittedtot review
Fittedtot is a subscription service for children's clothing that sends you a box of five outfits that you can wear and wash as many times as you like before sending it back for a new box of clothes (I'd liken it as "the Le Tote for kids"). Fittedtot caters to children age 3 months to 5 years and helps transition growing children through sizes, because who wants to spend an arm and a leg on clothes?! There is also an option to purchase the clothes in your box for a 20% discount. You can find out more hereI received a fittedtot box free of charge to write this review. All opinions are my own. Thank you Ashley and fittedtot!

Ashley was so helpful when I was filling out my box preferences and her customer service really went above and beyond. Besides a good product, good customer service is key.  I made note that Kinsey doesn't like wearing jeans but jeggings and leggings are good and that she loves dresses. I got a shipment confirmation on Monday and a few days later the fittedtot box arrived on our doorstep!

Each box comes with a card of each outfit sent, pricing, and a pre-paid envelope for returning items. Kinsey's box had everything she loves; leggings, jeggings, a dress, cozy tees and the cutest pair of footless PJ's I ever did see! Those jammies were actually the first thing she tried on! I die.

And here's Kinsey modeling all her outfits:

The only negative I see with this lovely service is Kinsey is at the top size and because of her long legs and torso, may not last very long! But I'm dying to do a box for Brielana because that girl is still in 18-24 month sizes. If only she wasn't so messy.

If you're interested in trying fittedtot for yourself, please feel free to use my referral link. Thanks, friends!

Rewind Friday // Play with me Mommy

Welcome to the first Rewind Friday! I love the idea of breathing new life into older posts that didn't get as much love the first time around. I wen't back into my archives and am starting from the beginning.
Rewind Friday Play with me Mommy

This was my 8th post ever written {Wednesday April 3, 2013} and it just brings me joy. Joy looking back at a newly two year old Kinsey. Joy that her still wanting to play with me is the greatest feeling in the world. Joy that I now have two beautiful daughters that call me mommy. Joy, joy, joy. And, if I'm being honest, a touch of sad that Kinsey will never be that small again, sigh.

Here is a little sneak peek:
I have a new favorite phrase. It's like music to my ears. It makes my heart beat with joy and floods me with all sorts of feel-good endorphins (and it doesn't require a trip to the gym. Bonus? I'd say so.) It is up there with my other favorites including, "Will you be my wife?" and "you're having a girl". What makes this phrase amazing? My newly 2-year-old daughter says it with a light in her eyes and a smile on her face, "Play with me mommy!" It gets me every time.

As a Preschool Teacher I prepare and facilitate a room that is conducive to play. Read: I get paid to play! (I am so blessed.) Play is an essential part of healthy social and emotional and physical development and as parents we are the very first playmates our children have. {...read more Play with me Mommy...}

I still believe every word of this post wholeheartedly and hope you'll find joy in reading it too.

Thanks for joining Beth, Meghan, Stephanie and me! The next Rewind Friday will be on Friday, June 24th. Now it's your turn to add your link below! Don't forget the most clicked links will be featured next month too! Also join us on IG using #RewindFridayParty.

The Man Behind the Beard // May

the man behind the blog
I've been having great luck with catching Brian at the perfect time to do these interviews {for the record, it's after he's eaten dinner and showered and about to watch TV.} Mr. Chatty is telling us what we want to know ;)

1) Would you rather have to wear your swimsuit to work OR have to carry around a large beach umbrella open all day at work?
Brian: Hmmm, beach umbrella.
Me: Why?
Brian: Because I'm too fat to wear a bathing suit around. Unless it's a wet suit, I guess.

2)  Would you rather play on an MLB team OR get to tour with your favorite band all summer?
Brian: Oh $#!t that's hard (giggle). Are you going to put "oh $#!t that's hard?" (giggle).
Me: Yup!
Brian: Tour with my favorite band. I like baseball but the band would be so much better.
Me: Whose your favorite band?
Brian: I don't know I have too many. Lately I've been listening a lot to Sevendust but mostly because it was the first CD I bought when I was a kid in the 90's. I don't have a favorite at the moment.

3)  Would you rather go to the beach and forget your towel OR go to the beach and forget your sunscreen?
Brian: Forget towel. That's like, "duh".

4)  Would you rather take a week-long vacation to anywhere in the world OR take a month-long vacation but have to stay within 100 miles of home?
Brian: One month at home because I could be with my children.

5) Would you rather get to have as much ice cream as you want this summer, but only be able to get vanilla OR only get to have ice cream three times this summer, but you can have whatever flavors you want?
Brian: Three times, I like vanilla but I have to have pecan praline or butter pecan, you know, toffee stuff. {his taste in ice cream is complete grandpa status, haha.}
