Two girls in a field // Pink {A Year of Color #2}

Two girls in a field // Pink {A Year of Color #2}
I'm pretty sure everyone knows my favorite color is pink (right? I've made that clear, yeah?) So to say I was excited about February's color is an understatement. And this may have turned out to be one of my favorite pet projects to date!
Two girls in a field // Pink {A Year of Color #2}
This beauty of a reproduction painting {Two girls in a field by Renoir} was one of the very first pieces I curated when I found out we were having another Girl and that said girl would be joining her big sister in the bedroom. Well, I still love it just as much today as I did those three plus years ago and I've had it in my head to do a photo shoot of the girls in this likeness for awhile. Nothing like the present though, right? Not to mention I had the perfect little dresses that we're a gift from Great Grandma Mary. Be prepared to swoon.

It's not too heavy on the pink but doesn't it totally capture the essence of pink?!

Now it's your turn! Add your link below. Thank you for joining Desiree, Justine, Stefanie and me for A Year of Color! Next month's color is green and the link up will be on Friday, March 17th!

The little things: Princess tent

Kinsey received the most darling pop up tent with tunnel for her birthday and whenever she gets the itch to play with it, it always makes for a fun time.

Brielana is finally big enough and mobile to join in on the fun and you should have heard the giggling!

Several times I found the tent sideways and the girls just sitting together smiling and having a grand time.

Nothing can beat those smiles in my book!

The Little Things: Twinning

I swore I would never do it.  And in a moment of weakness, I caved.  And then it became a slippery slope and I kept backsliding down.  What am I talking about?

Matching clothes for the girls:
Twinning.

Now that I've done it a couple of times, I can't stop.  It's starting to become a problem.  I don't want my daughters to get complexes and I don't want other people to think I'm that mom who only matches her daughters.

But I ask you, how can this be wrong?!

The Little Things: Stroller Fun

This is too cute not to share.  Kinsey was gifted this stroller on her 3rd birthday for her dolls.  Lo and behold, Daddy plopped Brielana in it and she fit perfectly.  And this made both of the girls nights.  It also gave us parents a few giggles too.  I mean, come on.  #Darling

I remember playing with my brother's old stroller as an 11 year old and having a blast and that was a regular,Cadillac-sized stroller (why did they used to be so big?!).  Having a scaled down version that a real baby fits in, pure heaven in Big Sister's book.  Kinsey is the sweetest little mommy and Brielana just adores her; I love to see them "play" together and get glimpses into the future.

But for right now, let them be little and silly!
