Growing up Clark // three month edit {+ giveaway!}
Bless you baby who still continues to sleep well and wake up happy.
I had a sad realization about how fast Clark is growing. The story- it was a blow-out-a-day kind of week so laundry was piled up and the only jammies available were size 6 months. “Oh, lets just try these out.” They freaking fit lengthwise. I wanted to bawl.
Height guesstimate 25 inches
Weight guesstimate 16 pounds
I got a solid laugh out of him while kissing on his sumptuous cheeks. It almost sounded like a cry but he was smiling, made it even more entertaining.
Tummy time has begun, halfheartedly. My thing is having hardwood floors makes it seem mean to put him face first onto them. And of course I can't find the mat we had with K & B (insert eyeroll emoji here) so a halved blanket has been the sub. He lasts a decent amount of time. I just don't want him to be behind on rolling but also just want to hold him all the time. #conundrum
See that little tongue? He's been playing with it and drooling. I'll let you guess which of those two things I find cute. Guess its time to begin playing the is he teething/not teething game.
Clark's been sneezing and it literally sounds like "AHHH-chooo", it's great. And very loud.
This kid loves bath time! He's discovered kicking the water and goes to town paddling away with the most serious expression on his face. Has me laughing and soaked.

Gear-
(For mama)
Spray N Wash- remember the blow out week above? This miracle in a spray bottle saved me, my sanity and Clark's darling clothes. I suck at getting stains out but with this I don't need to scrub.
Little Unicorn backpack- this back pack holds a b u n c h of gear! My mistake though is making it too heavy, haha.
nursing bra- I've been on the hunt for a new nursing bra. I don't have any qualms about the ones I have currently but you never know whats out there that's better unless you try, right? When I was given the chance to try a Coobie nursing bra, I figured it was a sign. I liked the soft structure of the bra (no underwire for me) and the ease of use of the snaps. I didn't like the sports bra design (not a fan of putting on/taking off by pulling it over my head) but it was comfortable on. All in all, I was pleased! Give me a year and I'll be trying out their bralette which is too pretty!
Now it's your turn to enter to win a Coobie bra of your choice below using the Rafflecopter widget! I'm giving away TWO so there will be TWO winners! Because it's nice to give yourself a gift too :) Giveaway runs from Thursday, December 7th through Wednesday, December 12th. Winners will be notified via email. Good luck!!
But since I love you all here is a coupon code too! Save 30% on Coobie Seamless Bras at Shop Coobie Use code: USFG
(for baby)
cradle cap brush- you'd think I would have known about this miracle brush two babies ago. Its completely cleared Clark's bout of cradle cap, the trick is to catch it early so it doesn't build up and get unmanageable.
Itzy Ritzy car seat cover- we're getting into germ season this helps ward off sick + nosy people.
Summer Infant car seat insert- since its been cold I added this to the car seat. Bonus the headrest actually supports Clark's head and I think also keeps him comfortable longer.
shawl collar jumper- just darling!

Growing up Clark // first month edit
The first month always goes by so quickly but also feels like a hard won battle due to sleepless nights, crazy feeding schedules and general life-living. It is a crazy- hectic, sacred- beautiful phase of life that I cherish and am blessed to have experienced three-fold (or thrice, as Kinsey likes to say.) This post contains affiliate links, if you make a purchase using one I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you for supporting my blog!
**Let that sink in: Clark has almost gained a pound a week this first month!! I’ve never had a chunky baby, its mind blowing.
For comparison: Kinsey’s birth weight 7.12 at one month 9.10
Brielana’s birth weight 7.12 at one month 9.7
Birth length: 20.5 — Current 22.5? (measured at one week old. Yup, grew two inches in a week!) = 99th percentile
Clark is a very serious baby. He has this furrowed brow expression that makes him look very concerned the majority of the day. He also has an amazing double chin that he likes to tuck into, its pretty darling. I would say he’s our needy baby- is that a boy thing?
I’m still trying to figure out who Clark looks like. He has Brian’s hair line (though he denies it, men.) and my ears. His facial features are so similar to both Kinsey and Brielana, its amazing. He has blue eyes. Brian and I are 0 for 3 on the brown eyed baby front. Who would have guessed?
Poor baby has been seen by the doctor every week for random ailments. First there was a weird rash (which resolved itself in 48 hours), a clogged tear duct, then a staph infection on his finger which was yucky but is now fully healed. And then a seborrheic dermatitis condition (think cradle cap, which both sisters had for years, but on his beautiful face.) Mama apologizes now for giving you bad skin. Maybe he’ll be lucky and gets it all out of the way now? ;)
Forever grateful for God’s blessing of a little boy. In the words of Ne-yo from The Princess and the Frog, “you're the best thing I never knew I needed.”
Solly wrap- Wear all the babies!!! It's how I get stuff done when I need both hands.
Snap tops- So easy to put on and they look adorable.
Mustela foam shampoo- Love this foam shampoo!
Vaseline- Add another use for this old time staple, diaper cream. It does a wonderful job protecting delicate skin from rash.
booties- these June & January booties stay put!!! Doesn't get better than that, amiright?! **Bonus- use my referral link and get 15% off a $50 first-time purchase!**
Cloud Island reverse zipper footie pjs (not pictured)- this is a game-changer when it comes to middle-of-the-night diaper changes! The zipper is at the bottom of the pjs so baby doesn't get completely naked (and cold) and is less disturbed making going back to sleep easier.

The Wonderful Things You Will Be
Brielana's great gramma gave her this book for Christmas. I absolutely adore the illustrations and empowering sentiment behind this story. I will definitely be checking out the Author's other books!
We have finally upgraded Brielana to eating from plates instead of straight from the highchair tray. Actually, interesting little side note, she refuses to use the tray and just likes to be scooted right up to the table (we have a bar-height dining set.) Guess she wants to be a big girl now, sob.
This picnic set was a Christmas gift from her paternal grandparents. SO stinkin cute! We have picnics all the time. And the catchy songs get stuck in my head.
I've lost my mind over FP moccs. Just thee best.
Another home run gift from Brielana's great-Aunt. I love all the classic toys Fisher-Price is re-releasing for new generations to enjoy. They're classics for a reason- children love them! And it brings back fond memories for parents :)

Crayola Color Wonder Animals Coloring Pad / VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels / Clangers Plush Toy / Clangers Show / Crayola Color Wonder 10 Mini Markers / Toothbrush
Brielana has been growing right along these past two months and her choice of leisure activities reflects this fact:
She has discovered the joy of coloring and I have discovered the miracle that is Color Wonder. These things are great, they really do only show up on Color Wonder paper! No marks on the walls or clothing. Though there is the small matter of her chewing off the tips...
Brielana has finally found a show to call her favorite. We only watch it sporadically and she only can watch 5 minutes at a time, but when she is paying attention, she is enthralled. Clangers are these mice that talk in whistles and it's narrated by William Shatner. I know, sounds amazing, haha.
With her crazy teething, toothbrushes have really been great in easing gum pain. She likes chewing on the bristles which cleans at the same time so I call it a win. Parent-supervised, of course.
These smart cars are her toy of choice at the moment. They sing catchy songs (though I could probably come up with cleverer lines), light up and make beeping/car sounds. I have my eye on the track for Christmas :)
