I am pining away for Spring and all things floral and blush.  Most of these gems are on their way to me as I type this (you just can't beat 40% off. Having a GAPcard has its perks).  I'm excited to update my wardrobe with some spring touches and will hope the weather cooperates because its forecasted to rain all this weekend.  Figures.

What Kinsey Wore: FabKids

I have seen the commercials for FabKids and thought it sounded like a good concept- take a fashion quiz (Kinsey even picked out the outfits she liked, cus girlfriend knows what she likes) and have outfits picked out for your little and then sent to your home once a month.  Welll, during a little phone browsing, I couldn't pass it up anymore and I got a great deal on this outfit for Kinsey.  Like I pretty much stole it, great deal (free shipping and half off... score!)

It arrived a week later and I'm impressed with the quality and feel of the fabrics.  Sizes range from XXS (size 2 years) to XL (12 years) and I especially appreciated that you were given a choice of leggings; originally this outfit came with black and white striped ones which were adorable, but we already owned a similar pair.  But once I laid eyes on these windowpane plaid leggings it was a done- deal.

I was signed up as a VIP member, which means I get an automatic monthly outfit sent to my home. If you don't want one for any reason, you have the first 5 days to "skip" and you won't be billed. I called to ask about this since it wasn't super clear, and the very nice representative said you can skip as many months as you like without any penalties. Yay for hassle- free!

 I don't see us getting an outfit every month, but with so many options and new seasonal items added frequently, I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for another fabulous opportunity!  They even sell shoes!

7 + 8 Month Favorites

7th and 8th Month Favorites by work-it-mommy 

Fisher Price Little People Disney Princesses-  Nugget is dying to get her hands on Kinsey's princess toys with too many small parts so these are perfect for her little hands (and big mouth... :)
Trumpette socks- Cutest socks ever!  We have a million different designs and they go with everything.
Happy Baby teethers-  These are great on-the-go snacks.
Fisher Price stack and roll cups-  These are fun to play with- so many play options!  Stacking, clip together to make balls, hide the shaker ball inside and make music.  Love the versatility.
HABA blocks-  I don't mind if she chews on them because they are safe and natural.  And pair well the the Princesses, too.  Anyone need a castle?
Brown Bear, Brown Bear board book-  Coincidence both these board books have bears?  Eric Carle is a classic for a reason.
On the Night You Were Born board book-  You can't beat Nancy Tillman's lovely sentiments.  And these books do wonders for teething babies.

Happy 2 Years Blog Birthday

I am so happy to be celebrating this milestone/birthday/anniversary!  To think I started tapping away at the keyboard 2 years ago and am still persisting on doing so today, is lovely.  

As a person I have grown and our family has expanded to include Brielana and Stella.  I am a temporary Stay At Home Mom and not working full time at the Preschool (and boy is this time flying by!).  Life is good.

Eight Months

How old: 8 months

Weight: 16 pounds, guesstimate {up 8.4 pounds.}

Length: 26 inches {up 7 inches}
Baby clothes: 6, 6-9 months sizes
Diaper size: 2
Sleep: Naps are wacky-doodle right now due to teething.  She fusses so much so keeps herself from falling asleep so there are no predictable nap times at the moment. 
Feeding: Every 4+ hours. I am so happy with BLW; Brielana loves eating and will eat anything I put in front of her.  She is a better eater than my 4 year old!
Likes: Eating!  Playing with Kinsey and Stella.  Chewing on her socks.  Playing in her bath tub.
Dislikes: Teething. Being told "no" and having things taken away. Having her face wiped after meals.
Milestones:  Sitting up from a lying position.  Pulling herself up onto her knees and a couple of times onto her feet(!!!)  Getting up onto her knees and rocking forward and backwards, she can crawl pretty fast backwards haha, but has yet to go forward. She cut her first tooth!  She ate out at her first restaurant (Mimi's Cafe) and did so well- aside from leaving a whole mess of Cheerios on the floor.
