#KinseyQuotes v3.0

I have a slight obsession with baby feet. They're so tiny and cute and they don't smell half bad. I guess my love for them has gone to Kinsey's head! I was trying to clip Kinsey's toenails one night and she responds with this, "You're going to hurt my perfectly smooth, soft feet."

Kinsey would be barefoot all day every day if it was up to her and Brielana is starting to follow suit. Kinsey was sitting with her on the couch and said, "We're just two barefoot cuties!"

Kinsey has been calling Brielana, "Brie" lately (which is just darling) and she took a whiff of her hair and quipped, "It smells Brie-ish."

"I don't want to be the mom of this house!" I had asked Kinsey to clean up her toys and she had a fit, tears, crying and this proclamation. I can't say it didn't flatter me just a little bit. But then not. Haha.

"It's not funny Whitney to laugh at your own child!" This definitely showcases her flair for dramatics. I was laughing because she said at night Stella sleeps on her legs and she can't move them and that makes her want to cry.

One morning Kinsey was awake before Brielana so we got in a rare cuddling on Kinsey's bed. We we're just talking about our day when she stated matter of fact, "I think a snack will hold me up."

Stabilize- stale, not fresh.
"These crackers are stabilized."
Not entirely sure how this came about but she uses it frequently in place of 'stale'.

Kinsey was eating lunch and I was trying to put away some toys without her noticing (anyone else sneak cleans? No? Just me?) and she was following my every movement, "I'm watching my eyes on you" complete with the two-finger hand gesture! This girl is hilarious.

Easter Baskets 2016

Welcome to the 2016 Easter Basket link up! I have been impatiently waiting for this day for over a month! I adore everything Easter; Jesus' resurrection, the flowers, the colors and the festivities. Throw in a gift basket and I'm all kinds of happy! This will be Brielana's second Easter and now that she's older she can participate more and really get into the holiday spirit (says I, who included some food in her basket just to spike her interest ;)
I veered from using traditional baskets because the items I picked for the girls were oddly shaped. Instead I used Amazon boxes that I had cut  and wrapped over with white paper. I love how they turned out! I also got to do some crafting by making personalized tags. I didn't do it yet but that round chipboard tag will have a 'B' on it come Easter (I always forget something, sigh.)
I scored at The Dollar Spot this year and was able to purchase the majority of the girl's goodies there. Target has been killing it! So sorry I can't link to all of these but I'll do my best. Affiliate links used. A small commission may be received if you purchase an item through my links. Thank you for supporting my blog!

Spring Fun List// Leprechaun Trap and Scavenger Hunt

Disclaimer: I have never celebrated St Patrick's Day with the girls. I'm not Irish and always felt awkward buuuuut as it turns out Brian does have some Irish in him and now there are no limits. Actually I was madly inspired by Courtney and her love of all holidays. This low-key holiday turned out to be the most fun to celebrate and we're already looking forward to next year!

Leprechaun Trap//
Leprechaun Trap
We started two days before St Patrick's Day by gathering and painting some repurposed/recyclable items for a Leprechaun Trap. I found a bunch of fun traps on Pinterest and showed Kinsey to get ideas for ours.

She wanted a slide, a trap door, stairs and a bridge and added some tape (this was all Kinsey's brilliant idea) inside the trap to really stick our Leprechaun. It turned out so adorable!

We didn't snag a Leprechaun but he did leave a special note on the tape trap! Kinsey thought it was so cute and small. This genius idea was found here. My dang pen started running out on me so disregard the crappy scrawls at the bottom. And yes, O'Malley is the name of our Leprechaun, it's the only Irish mane I could think of courtesy of The Aristocats haha.

Scavenger Hunt//

When Courtney posted this St Patrick's Day treasure hunt printable I was so excited! Coincidentally Kinsey's 6-week earrings mark was on St Patrick's Day and a pair of lucky clover earrings was the perfect prize.

Fun with Food//
Shamrock shaped green waffles because I heart my waffle maker.

Lucky Charms magic bars recipe here. I liked them much better after the first day, the flavors melded together and became nice and chewy.

We had white cheddar mac n cheese so naturally I added green food coloring and peas and we were good for dinner!
