My Favorite Books of All Time

source
No matter what season of life I'm in I can always count on these books to get me through.  I love each and every one of these novels, all for different reasons but whenever I think about them, I always smile.  They conjure up all the emotions and bring me back to the first time I ever read them (or reread them), where I was, who I was with at the time, how old I was and sometimes how old it made me feel.  Books truly are old friends.

My favorite authors are:

and though only one Wharton novel is represented and no Grafton or Hoffman I love ALL their collected works.

But, I will read anything because losing yourself in a book is the best use of free time, in my opinion.

  1. I haven't read any of these but I am excited to try some of them out! I hate the feeling you get when you finish a really good book! It's like apart of your life is over! Lol!

  2. I picked up Practical Magic the last time I was at the library! I love all things Austen. Have you seen/read any of the Austen Project books? They are modernizing and retelling each of her works, each one is a different author. The first three are out. Sense and Sensibility, Northanger Abbey, and the newest is Emma..I think. I read Sense and Sensibility and I am on Northanger Abbey now. They are like the same main plot points and the same characters but brought to present. I'm enjoying them! Northanger Abbey has been more entertaining than S&S so far. But I hadn't read Northanger Abbey in a looong time so I don't remember as much of it. But S&S I've read more than once and recently so it wasn't as new. Anyways you might want to check them out!

  5. I LOVE Anne of Green Gables. I'm considering passing it on to my 8 year old. After she reads it, we'll watch the movie together!
