I love baking and cooking and never think to share on here, but since Christmas time is all about the treats, I'm sharing a delicious and easy sugar cookie recipe that Santa will enthusiastically approve.

This is a Tate's Bakery recipe from Tate's Bake Shop Baking with Kids (it's a must- have!!!):
Ingredients
1 cup salted butter, cold
1/2 cup firmly packed dark or light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups all- purpose flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
How to make
1. In a food processor or large bowl, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix them until they are just combined. Add the flour and cornstarch. Mix until the dough comes together in a ball.
2. Form the dough in a flat disk, wrap in clear film and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight.
3. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease two cookie sheets or line them with silicon baking mats (I used parchment paper and it worked great.)
4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough with cookie cutters. Re-roll the trimmings and cut into more shapes until the dough is all used up.
5. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets. These cookies don't really spread so 1/2 inch apart will be fine. Bake them for 10-15 minutes (depending on their size and thickness) until they are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
6. I iced mine with powdered sugar mixed with a little milk and added sprinkles galore!
{Delish!}
