I'm a little late here as I'm actually 17 weeks (I told you I'm horrible at these bumpdates!) but I started at 4 months with Brielana and would like to keep with tradition ;)
How far along: Second trimester::Weeks 13-16::But let's highlight week 14 otherwise known as the week everything happened- I stopped feeling nauseous, felt the baby hiccup and saw him ripple the outside of my tummy!
Size of baby: a lemon(?) He's measuring exactly as he should.
Weight gain: This one is tricky as Ive been up and down; I started at 140 then we got hit with the plague and lost 3 pounds. So 137 and then I feel like I was trying to make up for that loss coupled with water retention and bowl complications (pretty much the factor that really made me think we were having a boy, haha) and I went from 150 down to 146, which is where I still stand. You do the math lol
Maternity clothes: Total surprise but my favorite lowrise Gap jeans are still wearing comfortably. I'm carrying low so my full panel maternity jeans just aren't fitting great yet but my Stitch Fix jeggings have been awesome. I've worn a handful of maternity tops and a couple dresses but really my regular clothes have been working just fine.
Gender: boy!
Movement: I get lucky at night time when I'm sleeping on my side and can feel a tiny nudge or hiccup but no hard kicks yet.
Sleep: Beside super bizarre dreams and the occasional bathroom run, I'm getting good sleep.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach! Eating salami.
Cravings: This is terrible but potato chips have been calling my name! I'm not a salt-craver (give me Allll the sweets!) but chocolate just isn't tasting the same (so sad! And my other early "boy" indicator.) so this has been interesting.
Symptoms: Thankfully the nausea has passed but I'm still extremely fatigued. It isn't a surprise that 3/5 times I sit down on the couch, I will fall asleep.
Highlight of the Month: Hearing baby's heartbeat for the first time! I just had ultrasounds up till now so hearing that heartbeat was beautiful! And it was immediate too as soon as that Doppler wand touched my belly, there is was at 150 strong.
Week 13
