10/11/14 Our 6 Year Anniversary

10/11/2008
Saturday was our 6(!!!) year Anniversary.  I'm still trying to get used to the idea.  How can six years go by so quickly?  I still feel 23 (wellll not all the time.  But seriously, pressing 30 is a trip.)  I take it as a good sign we're on the closer side of a decade and still feel like newlyweds.  Now that's a blessing I won't take for granted.

Brian~

This past year has had trials and tribulations.

We've had highs and lows.

Tears were shed and smiles were happy.

We went through fire and came out better.  Stronger.  Unified.

We added to our Family.  Another beautiful little girl.

And a fur daughter.  (Who knew deep-down you were a dog person?)

13 years of friendship.  9 years of being in love.  6 years of Marriage.

{Ephesians 5:22-31}
"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.
 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.  For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,  because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
This is our Happily Ever After.
