When I saw the next installment of Mommy Style Remix was sneakers, I had a hard time deciding which of my sneakers to wear (what a problem, right?!) But since it's Spring and the brighter colors are coming out I thought it would be a good idea to highlight my white Chucks because 1) I don't wear them enough and 2) it's fun to find new outfit combinations.
This outfit is my standard: jeans, tee layered over a tank top and sneakers. I wear some form of this outfit practically every day; it isn't high fashion or new, but it's comfortable.
pocket tee, Gap
long length tank, Target
jeans, Gap
And another basic classic outfit. Have you seen any of those basic b*!#h memes?! Horrible but funny. Anyway, I'm late to rolling my jeans but I'm a big fan now.
chambray top, Old Navy
Now this is outfit just makes me happy! Plaid and polka dots is something I never would have paired together but thanks to good ole Pinterest I have found my new favorite look! I've had this plaid top (Gap) since 2009 and the polka dot sweater (Old Navy) since 2010. The only thing I may need to work on is upping my jewelry game.
I adore the All- American vibe my white Converse give to my much loved, very lived-in, clothes. Dare I say I'm made a touch cooler by the shoes on my feet? (this very well may be wishful thinking and I'm ok with that, ha!)
I love all three outfits. My daily outfit looks a lot like the first one you shared. I just recently got a pair of Chucks and I love them. I don't know why I waited so long.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! Now you have me wanting some chucks!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I need some sneakers in my life. They seem practical, but I just haven't bought a pair in a loooong time!
ReplyDeleteWhen is this link up? Every month? Same day? Thanks!
I'm loving all your outfits!!! I too often wear the first look, but love your mix of patterns in the last one. I wouldn't have thought to do that either, but it totally works... Isn't Pinterest great for that!? And you are making me think I need a pair of black jeans, maybe in the fall. I don't wear chambray enough because I don't like denim with denim. And sometimes I want more coverage than leggings ;)
ReplyDeleteCute, I've always loved Converse!
ReplyDeleteMy first pair (prekids) were pink! They are classics!
DeleteCute outfits! I especially love that polka dot sweater outfit! I got my Chucks a while back and had the worst time breaking them in - they just HURT. They are FINALLY broken in and I'm wearing them all the time! I need white ones now!
ReplyDeleteThat last look is totally my favorite and I am loving the white chucks on you, but know I would have to go with black. #kluty
ReplyDeleteChucks are so cute on you! I think they go with every thing. I have three pairs - a white pair, black pair and a navy and pink pair. Love them!!
ReplyDeleteCute outfits! I don't have a pair of these just yet, but I did in elementary and middle school!!!!!! It's funny how all shoes come back in style...Birkenstocks, Tevas, and Doc Martins are all shoes that my high school students currently wear that I wore back in the day!
ReplyDeleteThese outfits are adorable! I have Chucks on my wishlist! I'm thinking they would make a great Mother's Day gift! :)
ReplyDeleteI am torn between white and black! I have a feeling black will win because there's no way I'll be able to keep white clean. I love how they look on you, though!
ReplyDeleteIm not overly careful with these and theyve stayed pretty clean over the past year (Ive even did some gardening in them haha) Thanks Stefanie!
DeleteSo, so, so cute! Love the pattern mix!!
ReplyDeleteLove Chucks!! These outfits are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove all three looks! Perfect for looking put together but still comfy.
ReplyDeleteLily would be all.over. that polka dot shirt! She says they are her favorite! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love every single outfit you put together! That polka dot shirt...I need!
ReplyDeleteHa, I had the same problem with choosing which pair of sneakers too! I love the classic Chucks, especially when they're paired with up-to-date and on-trend outfits. So fun with the plaid/polka pattern mix! Thanks for joining in :)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes and yes! I love all three of these looks! I love my Chucks too!
ReplyDeleteI love them on you; you pull them off so perfectly. I have a pair but rarely wear them. They just don't seem very "me".
ReplyDeleteYES!!! Love these looks! And love my Chucks. I only have black ones right now but I really NEED to go get the white ones like I've been talking about! I especially LOVE outfit #2 with the chambray shirt. I need to get one of those too! I already have the black jeans to go with it so then I'll just need the new Chucks!
ReplyDeleteLove me some chucks!! All cute outfits, but the polka dots - swooooooning.
ReplyDeleteI totally love all the outfits you put together, especially the second one!!
ReplyDeleteEvelina @ Fortunate House
I LOVE my chucks. I always want them to be super white though and it's so hard to keep them that way!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good basic outfit! Let's get real - those are what I wear on the regular ;) Plus basics make it easy to dress up or down with fun accessories or different shoes. All your looks are great! I really love the polka dot/flannel combo. Not something I would have put together, but it turned out amazing! Also I am probably the only person on the planet who doesn't have Chucks. It might be time to invest :)
ReplyDeleteJenn, you're talking my language! Basics are so versatile and comfortable! Though I DO need to up my jewelry game my shoe collection (namely sneakers) make up for that ;)
DeleteLove the outfit posts. I love my chucks as well. I wore them a lot the last two weeks!
